Winter Anime Season 2016 - RECAP

Hey Everyone!

With the newly released list of what will be coming out on Spring 2016 (which you can check out and read our thoughts on it soon!) we figured it would be a nice time to look back on this season and see what shows really captured our attention. To be fair, we have been overburdened with work the last couple of months so we have not been able to properly dedicate time to anime, (It sucks so much to not be able to watch everything i wanted to originally check out)  so we would love you guys to let us know what other shows you have been keeping up with and that you would recommend us (and other readers) to check out!

Lupin the Third (2015)

Well this one is kind of cheating because it came out in April of last year but it has been on my list for the longest time to check out because Lupin is one of my favorite shows for the longest time. The reason why i’m putting this on the list is because it is still coming out on Crunchyroll and i would recommend this show to everyone.  The thing about this show that I love is that everyone has unique personalities that work together really well. I love how Jigen and Goemon tell Lupin to stay away from Fujiko because she will just get him in trouble but all he wants is to please Fujiko.

This show is very comical but suspenseful as well. I promise you a good time with this anime. If you haven’t seen Lupin before, I would recommend checking out some of the movies as well. The best ones in my opinion are the following:

    • Lupin the Third: Castle of Cagliostro -  This was made by Miyazaki and it shows. The story is really well made and it feels like a Miyazaki film

  • Lupin the 3rd vs. Detective Conan -  Great series, i recommend watching all of them
  • Lupin the Third: Green vs  Red
  • Lupin the Third: Farewell to Nostradamus

As we mentioned in another blog, We are completely in love with Erased. It is one of the few shows i have seen that handles dark and violent themes, like child abuse and murder, in a way that doesn’t exploit those themes for “shock factor”... The story is great, and the characters are really lovable. I would recommend this very highly.

    Dimension W

Dimension W is one of the most beautifully animated shows i have seen in a very long time. It is very smooth and very well drawn. Just check out their awesome opening theme

The anime follows Kyouma and Mira in a future world where everything is powered up by energy from Dimension W. They are sent on missions to destroy illegal coils (the mechanism used to tap into Dimension W)

I love watching this anime to learn more about the characters. I want to know why Kyouma hates coils so much and is stuck living in the past. (He still drives a gas powered car and other technology from “the past”). I also want to learn about Mira and her mission from her creator. This show just keeps my curiosity growing and it is a pleasure on the eyes to watch.

Konosuba is my comedic anime of this season, and it is really amazing! The story follows Kazuma (who is a shut in) right after he dies in a dumb accident because he was trying to get a limited edition video game. Right after he dies he is met by a goddess named Aqua who tells him he is going to be reincarnated in another world where he must defeat the Devil King, after being laughed at by Aqua he chooses to take Aqua with him.

After they go to the new world they begin to go on quest but they are both really useless. They begin gathering a party and try to get stronger to accomplish their mission.

This anime is great because they make fun of all the typical cliches that come with this genre of anime. Instead of being the “chosen one” or having a “hidden talent” Kazuma is pretty useless and barely manages to scrape of a basic living. It is really fun show to watch.

Those are some of the anime I have dedicated the most time too but there are a few other ones that i would recommend.

    • Dagashi Kashi is really funny
    • Musaigen no Phantom World has a very interesting concept
    • Aokana: Four Rhythm Across the Blue looks really nice

Hopefully you like some of our suggestions and find an anime show you end up really liking. Let us know which anime shows you really like and would recommend we watch in the comments below.

Anime You Should Be Watching (Winter 2016)

    Hello everyone!

As the new winter season starts picking up, it might be getting difficult to choose what anime to watch and what anime you could hold on for later so I would like to share with you my personal opinions on what you should try to not miss!

This season is packed with great anime so it was really hard to pick just one to focus on but at the end Erased (Boku Dake ga Inai Machi) has to be the first anime show that i want to share with you (and hopefully convince you to check it out if you haven't been watching it already.)

My favorite thing about this show is how much it makes your emotions shift and change. In one episode, you will go from a light comedic setting to something completely real and depressing without even realizing it. This anime deals with very serious and adult issues in a very tactful, careful way. Murder, child abuse, and other themes are discussed without feeling like they are doing it just for some sort of reaction or “shock factor”.

The perfect shift of gears in this anime highlights the amazing characters being introduced to make you care for them instantly. One of my favorite things about this anime is how it makes you forget that Satoru is actually an adult trapped in the past; instead, you are witnessing an awkward kid falling in love and trying to protect someone special to him. The character development so far has been great to form two different characters out of Satoru.

If you like suspenseful shows, then this is definitely for you! It keeps you on your toes so well that just when you start to relax, a new development occurs that makes you question everything. I cant wait to see the rest of this anime and hopefully more people check it out.

Please let us know your thoughts on ERASED or any other anime you would like to recommend to others. I will start writing about other shows i find interesting and would love to hear back some feedback!

    Top 5 Gender Benders

Hello again; Emma here today lets talk about Gender Benders, you know guys who dress as girls and girls who dress as guys. Weather they have a reason or just simply enjoy it since they look good anyways(lol); I really like this type of genres they almost always make me laugh since most of the ones I read are really funny and enjoyable. But they are those that also make my cry, seriously I just can't seem to stop my tears; so I decided to do my top 5 gender benders that I really love and enjoy. Lets get started shall we ^_^

    #5 Usotsuki Lily

    Manga: Usotsuki Lily

    Author: Komura Ayumi

Genres: Comedy, Gender Bender, Romance, School Life, Shoujo

    Status: Complete

    Anime: Not Available

Try and guess who the guy is!

Hinata Saotome is a nice and cute high school girl who all of a sudden gets asked out by En Shinohara, a gorgeous boy in her grade. But  what she doesn't know is that En's hobby is to cross-dress, since he was young En has always hated men, even seeing his own reflection, he gets really angry and punches out whatever is doing the reflecting be it a windows, mirrors or even the reflection in some ones eyes (sad to say lol). To combat this hatred for men himself included, En begins to dresses up as a girl; despite knowing this Hinata decides to go out with him anyway, I mean it's not like he is going to have this weird hobby forever (or so she thinks.) I found this story to be cute and very funny, the thought of having a boyfriend who cross-dress and sad to say is cuter than you is refreshing to me. All the problems that they have to overcome to stay together not to mention family members that might or might not find his cross-dressing odd. In this manga aside from Hinata and En there are also a good amount of other couples, lets see there are about 4+ more couples. It might sound a bit overwhelming I guess, since there are a lot couples but I actually like that there are more couples but well like everyone I do have my favorite couple not including Hinata & En; aside from having a good amount of other couples it is also repetitive after a few chapters in it starts to repeat of course its not the exact same thing just the situation happens to be the same and the manga itself makes fun of it (lol), all in all I really enjoyed reading something new and found it very interesting.

     #4 Oresama Teacher

    Manga: Oresama Teacher

    Author:Tsubaki Izumi

Genres: Action, Comedy, Gender Bender, Harem, Romance, School Life, Shoujo

    Status: On-going

    Anime: Not Available

Kurosaki Mafuyu was a juvenile delinquent and the head of her gang that is before her arrest got her expelled from high school. Now that she's been kicked out of that school she has to transfer to a new high school, in that high school Mafuyu is determined to become an "ultra-shiny, super feminine high school student"; But on her first day of school she meets a lone wolf like delinquent named Hayasaka-kun and decides to befriend him. Along with Hayasaka-kun we have Mafuyu's homeroom teacher Saeki Takaomi (who happens to be a "friend" of Mafuyu, more like the person who is responsible for her turning out to be a delinquent in the first place lol ). With both her new and old friends Mafuyu is going to find it hard to be a girly-girl in her new high school. For this manga unlike the rest of them Mafuyu doesn't really cross-dress a lot only when Takaomi-kun tells her to or she knows it's necessary, it depends on the situation. Through out the manga she is her regular self, but when she has to fight she is Usa-chan Man (it's just her but with a rabbit mask on) and when she cross-dresses she becomes Natsuo a male delinquent, with that she can avoid getting caught and pretend to be a weak and fragile girly-girl. I found this manga to be interesting since it was the first gender bender that I read where the badass MC wanted to be a regular person (lol) plus I find her to be really funny. The fact that she tries so hard to be a weak girly-girl yet always find herself getting into some kind of fight while trying to help out Hayasaka-kun or thanks to Takaomi-kun who likes to get her into them.

     #3 Hana-Kimi

    Manga: Hana-Kimi

    Author: Hisaya Nakajo

Genres: Comedy, Drama, Gender Bender, School Life, Shoujo

    Status: Complete

    Anime: Not Available

Ashiya Mizuki is a Japanese-American track-and-field star, that has gotten herself transfer to a high school in Japan. To be close to her idol, Izumi Sano a high jumper that she saw on t.v.; but Sano goes to an all-guy's high school so in order to get close to him Mizuki disguises herself as a boy. Thus traveling to Japan and entering his school, hoping to be able to see him; but not only does she have him as a classmates, they also end up being roommates as well (how lucky is that hehe). Not only does she have to make sure no one  in the classroom and locker room know, she also has to be even more careful  in the dorm she shares with Sano. But lets be honest it won't be as easy no matter how much she tries to look like a guy she still acts like a girl; not to mention she has no sense of danger or awareness. She is very carefree and loves to play around, and because of that she gets found out the very first day by Sano and Umeda Hokuto he is the doctor at the school's nurse office. But well to be honest the Umeda said he knew right away that she was a girl because it was easy for him to tell, he also tells her that he is gay and pretty much acts like an older brother or uncle to her while giving her advice. Knowing that someone knows her secret and is willing to keep it that way Mizuki does everything she can to get close to Sano, not knowing that he already found out the truth about her. Along with Sano we also have Shuichi Nakatsu one of the students that is living in the dormitory as well. He starts to like Mizuki but doesn't know that she is really a girl, causing some of his classmates to believe that he is gay. However, Shuichi is merely attracted to Mizuki's femininity which she has trouble hiding. When Shuichi discovers that Sano has feelings for Mizuki, he confesses to her but get rejected. Knowing that both Sano and Mizuki have the same feelings for one another Shuichi gives up on her and gives them his blessings in order to protect his friendship with Sano and let Mizuki be happy with the one she loves. There are a lot of interesting moments, that are just to funny at times but also sad. I really like the couple in this manga even though they didn't start off as a couple but they acted and looked like it. I found it to be so cute seeing how they fall in love with each other little by little, the more time they spend together the more they came to realize their feelings for each other it was so cute  >.< !!

     #2 Love In The Mask

    Manga: Love In The Mask

    Author: Han Yu-Rang

Genres: Action, Comedy, Drama, Gender Bender, Romance, Shoujo, Tragedy

    Status: Complete

    Anime:  Not Available

Here we go second place, it was really hard for me to pick the final two since I like them both a lot but none the less there has to be a first and second place. Love In The Mask revolves around Suh Hyun-bin who along with her little brother Pig grew up under the cruel hand of street gangsters. But sadly her little brother Pig ends up dying right in her arms. All alone and with no one to help Hyun-bin is left to beg and gather money for the gangsters are keeping her, one day with the help of some mysterious men Hyun-bin runs away and is taken in by a rich family who wants to train her to become a bodyguard to protect Yae-ha Yun. However, Hyun-bin must hide the fact that she is girl, and pose as a man if she do this for a set period of time she will get paid and set free if she can't do that then they will throw her back out into the streets without anything. And so, for eight straight years Hyun-bin grows up as a cold hearted, male, bodyguard. It seems like she'll be this way forever, even after the time period finishes that is until she encounters Lee Yun-ha a handsome and troubled delinquent. Lee Yun-ha has a very sad back story but I won't get into it  so nothing will be spoiled. Because of that he turns into a delinquent who normally doesn't care much about anyone. But once he sees Hyun-bin he starts getting interested in her and wants her to join his gang, at first Hyun-bin declines but later on she gets orders from Yae-ha's grandfather to join. At first Hyun-bin and Yun-ha start off as friends and nothing more. After Hyun-bin starts to have feeling for him thus shaking her very foundation and wishing she was a girl. Hyun-bin is conflicted with herself, as her feelings of love for Yun-ha clash against her feelings of duty and brotherly/sisterly love towards Yae-ha. No lie this manga had me crying from the very first chapter, in between, and even till the very end. This manga drew me in right from the start and I just couldn't put it down until I finished it. Even when i go back to re-read it, it still makes my eyes tear-up (just like Clannad!!). I strongly suggest that you read this manga, just make sure you have tissue on the side for the sad moments that will make you cry.

     #1 Nononono

    Manga: Nononono

    Author:Okamoto Lynn

Genres: Drama, Gender Bender, Seinen, Sports

    Status: Complete

    Anime: Not Available

And know we are at the number one Gender Bender, even though it took me forever to decide it since I liked both this one and Love In The Mask the same. Now then Nonomiya Yuuta, is a Ski Jumper aiming to go to the Olympics and get a Gold medal in Ski Jumping. Yuuta has exceptional skills in Ski due to his love for the sport and thanks to the training he received from his father, who used to be a Skier. However, "his" biggest problem is that he is not really Nonomiya Yuuta but his twin sister Nonomiya Nono, and since there isn't any Women Ski Jump categories in the Olympics; she is forced to hide her true identity. That is the only way for her to achieve the dreams that her father and brother left with her before they died. She is set on going to the Olympics to win the gold medal not only for her brothers and fathers sake but also for herself, since she was little Nono had always loved Ski Jumping but was only able to do it as a hobby. Her father was set on training her brother only, since he knew that no matter how good she was she would never go to the Olympics.  After losing both family members Nono transfer to a popular Ski Jumping school, that would help her achieve her goal. There "he" meets Akira Amatsu; born into a family of ski jumping medalists, Amatsu's talent at ski jumping was noticed at an early age. Strangely enough Amatsu has a weird allergy to women, and will break out into hives when he's close to one, making Nono uneasy every time she is near him. Along side Nono And Amatsu we have Mikage Kourogi, a pretty and famous figure skater well-known for earning a gold medal in the international championship; on her first day of school she mistook Nono for a handsome guy and asked "him" to be her boyfriend, but was completely rejected. Later on, Mikage walked in on Nono while "he" was dressing, and saw that "he" was wearing women underwear. Mikage then concluded that Nono was a perverted cross-dressing guy, to not get caught  Nono admitted that "he" was . After that, and since she couldn't make "him" her boyfriend, Mikage proclaimed that from now on, Nono will be her slave and live together at her house. While living under the same roof as Mikage and Amatsu's allergy to women, Nono has it really hard it that wasn't hard enough "his" senpai Kiyoshi Shiriya who has a twisted and terrible personality. He is the squad leader of Okushin high school's ski club, and a veteran ski jumper who has the best record in the club and who takes great pride in placing third at inter high, forces everyone in the ski club to call him "Emperor" a title he deems above that of club president. Shiriya is very sensitive towards his last name "Shiriya", which literally means Butt/Anal Shop, and will violently lash out against anyone who dares to call him by that name. Last but not least we have Hiroki Kishitani a freshman and club member of Akira and Nono, he is really good friends with Nono and used to attend the same elementary school as the "Emperor" thus he knows really well of his personality. Hiroki isn't as skilled as everyone else but he pulls through with his luck when it's needed of him. Together they all try the best they can to make it to the Olympics to earn the gold medal; what I like the best about this manga is that they all have their own backstory. Each story they tell makes you fall in love even more with the characters, this manga is even more sad than Love in the Mask. Worth reading over and over again in my opinion (lol)

Well I hope you guys give them a try and hope you enjoy them just as much as me...

Great Anime You (Might Have) Missed

As you guys can see, we really like anime (a lot), but do to our ridiculous schedules and intense amount of anime out there, we end up missing out on some real gems. Luckily for us, we have a really awesome community that follows us in all of our social media sites and gives us awesome recommendations on what to watch next (specially Instagram, you guys are awesome) so we thought we would return the favor to you guys by giving you guys a quick list of some anime series that you might not have gotten the chance to check out. Hopefully we help you guys find a great anime worth watching

Heroman was a really cool anime that came out in April of 2010 that featured a boy named Joey and his robotic friend as they fight to save the earth. The really awesome thing about Heroman was that it was a good blend of Western and Eastern cultures in one awesome anime. It was made by Tamon Ohta and the legendary Stan Lee. I really loved this anime because it was funny, dramatic, action packed, and the you ended up loving every character. It was really fun to watch a kid make his dream come true and became a hero while dealing with trying to impress the girl that he is in love with. The other awesome aspect of this anime is that it had a few comic book Easter Eggs hidden in there.

If you like action packed anime I would really suggest you watch this, at least try the first episode out here

     Full Metal Panic!

Full Metal Panic is one of my favorite anime shows! The first season came out January of 2002, so it's a little old but amazing non the less. It has really good comedy, romance, suspense, and action in an anime involving mechs. Inspired by the light novel of the same name, written by Shoji Gatoh, this anime follows a very intense member of Mithril, a personal anti-terrorist military organization, named Sousuke Sagara in his mission to protect a very special girl named Kaname Chidori. He has to learn to behave in a classroom while keeping his military training sharp so he can protect Kaname. I really recommend this anime! Check out the first episode here

    Saint Saiya Omega

Saint Saiya Omega hits a soft spot in my heart purely because of nostalgia. Saint Saiya (or "Knights of the Zodiac") was one of the very first anime shows i watched when i was younger, so when i heard that they were making another season i knew i had to watch it. Now, nostalgia got me to start watching the show but the anime got me to stay all by itself. It managed to bring back the spirit of the old show in a new and different light. It is really good. It's pretty inspiring show that tries to teach you to believe in yourself and your friends. The fights are also really intense, in a very 90's kind of way which i personally just adore!

    Check it out here

    Inuyasha: The Final Act

I have a weird love/hate relationship with Inuyasha in general so I almost skipped out on watching the last arc all together, luckily for me, I didn't. I am pretty sure most of you guys have either watched or heard of Inuyasha and the incredibly dragged out story that the first series was (I really hate Naraku and his Miasma escape/resurrection spam). Luckily, The Final Act carries the intensity and fun of Inuyasha without dragging it out forever and a day. It is a perfect wrap up for a good anime series in 26 episodes.  I highly recommend everyone that watched and fell in love with Inuyasha to watch The Final Act, and for those that haven't watched any Inuyasha, I would say watch a few episodes of the Final Act to get a gist of the story and the characters and if you find that you like it, go back and watch Inuyasha from the beginning. Check out the first episode here

    Hanasaku Iroha

Hanasaku Inoha is one of the most charming anime shows I have ever watched! This anime is came out April 2011 and I still remember it fondly. It follows a cute and energetic girl named Ohana Matsumae as she reluctantly goes to the country side to work with her grandmother at her Hot Springs Inn. She is very reluctant at first, but she slowly starts seeing this as an opportunity to change herself and the Inn into something happier and more beautiful. It is a really charming slice of life comedy that is filled with interesting characters and ridiculous situations that make you laugh wholeheartedly. The art is very beautiful, as well as the music score. This is just a really nice and funny story that I really think everyone should experience. You can watch the first episode here

Well, there you have it. These are some of the few that I would recommend everyone to watch. I hope you guys check some of these out and find something you like. Also, if there are any anime series you really like and think more people should watch, let us know, we would love to check out your suggestions out! Let us know what you think about these shows and any that you like in the comments below.

    Underrated Manga

    Hello everyone, Emma here!

I hope you all enjoyed my last blog post of my top 10 mangas and hope you gave some of them a try. Now im going to be talking about the mangas I think are underrated, keep in mind this is my opinion and it may not be the same as yours. We all know the top mangas out there and how can we not they are badass right? The mangas I'm going to be talking about today may not be well known by most but they are still awesome, but well its really hard for me not to like reading manga (lol) none the less I think these manga should be known some more. Now then shall we start, also there Isn't any specific order for them I like them all just the same, and think that they should be read by more people. Lets start with

    Manga: Otomen
    Author: Aya Kanno
Genres: Comedy, Romance, School Life, Shoujo, Slice of Life
    Status: Complete
Anime: None but there is a TV Drama

Asuka Masamune is a guy who loves girly things; sewing, knitting, making cute stuffed animals and reading shojo comics in another word an Otomen. But in a world where boys are expected to act manly, Asuka must hide his beloved hobbies and play the part of a masculine jock instead. He is the number one in the country in kendo, he is good at judo, karate, acts as manly as possible and is consider to be a man among men in school. Ryo Miyakozuka, on the other hand, is a girl who can't sew or bake a cake to save her life. She is good at sports and like Asuka is good at martial arts, even though she is beautiful she is not girly at all. After a fateful meeting Asuka finds himself drawn to Ryo, but she likes only the manliest of men. Even though he is consider to be the man among men in school when ever he is near Ryo; Asuka just can't keep his manly mask on and slowly reveals his cute and girly side. Otomen is a really cute and funny manga, I couldn't stop laughing and in some parts I would even cry well not really just got a little teary eye, that would me more towards the end of the manga. I really enjoyed the story is was really nice and a change of pace from all the other mangas I'm reading, there also isn't that much romance in it. I know it sounds like it has a lot of it but not really it's a modern amount of it for the most part I found it to be more funny. If you are looking for something cute and funny then this manga won't let you down.

    5. Berserk

    Author: Miura Kentaro
Status: On-Going (Update not so often)
    Genres: Action,Horror
    Anime: Available

This manga will be a bit hard for me to talk about cut i have a lot to say but i don't wanna say too much you know. Berserk is a manga that follows Guts, he is known as the Black Swordsman and seeks sanctuary from the demonic forces that pursue himself and his woman because of a demonic mark on their necks, as well as vengeance against the man who branded him as an unholy sacrifice. Honestly just thinking about that part gets me all so sad >.< (I'm one that really gets into the manga that I read and even cry.) Lets continue, aided only by his titanic strength and skill gained from a harsh childhood life with mercenaries, Guts embarks on a journey with a gigantic sword and prosthetic left hand to hunt down the man who gave him "hell on earth." Always fighting demons and monsters alike Guts must struggle against his bleak destiny, all the while fighting with a rage that might strip him of his humanity. Along the way Guts makes some allies, one being a Wind spirit from Elfhelm also known as a elves/fairy name Puck he is always around Guts yelling and nagging him about what he is doing and how he treating others. He doesn't like the way Guts does things but he can't leave him alone, he senses the darkness and hatred inside Guts and somehow feels responsible for him thinking that he just can't leave him alone. Another of Guts companions is a young runaway and petty thief named Isidro, he left his home and family to become a great swordsman after being saved by Guts and seeing how great of a swordsman he was, Isidro decided to follow him even after seeing and knowing what kind of life Guts has to live. Up next we have Farnese de Vandimion and Serpico: Farnese is a noblewoman who led the "Holy See's ceremonial guard, the Holy Iron Chain Knights, while Serpico was Herald for the Holy Iron Chain Knights. Farnese and Serpico are paternal half siblings which Farnese has no idea of only Serpico knows the truth, they have been together since childhood, Serpico cares and tries to protect Farnese. They are assigned to capture Guts since he has being killing "people" left and right, they manage to capture him but sadly its only for a bit as Guts soon escapes from them. Farnese decides to go after Guts and Serpico follows along, at first they are enemies but later on they end up becoming his allies, even though Serpico doesn't trust or even like Guts but he has to put up with it for Farnese's sake. Lastly we have Schierke and Evarella: Schierke is a witch in training that by some unfortunate circumstances lost her home and teacher Flora, on Floras request Evarella who is also a fairy like Puck is asked to go along and watch over Schierke, even though she is young and in training she is really powerful. This manga is really awesome up to this point i hadn't encounter an amazing horror manga like this one, I absolutely love it.(Also as much as I love this manga I DO NOT even LIKE the anime, this is just me i know that they change/take out stuff from the manga so the anime will be a bit different but this is one that I WISH THEY JUST LET IT BE THAT WAY AS THE MANGA. Well you guys might think different so you should give it a try I couldn't even get past the first 15 minutes of it >.< plus i wasn't a fan of his voice.)

    4. Switch

Author: Naked Ape: Otoh Saki & Tomomi Nakamura
    Status: Complete
    Genres: Action,Drama,Mature,Shounen
    Anime: Available (OVA)

This manga follows Eto Kai  and Hal Kurabayashi two investigators at the Narcotics Control Department in Japan, they struggle against drug dealers, gangs, murderers, psychopaths, and mysterious organizations, in particular the notorious drug ring known as Ryuugen. But the gentle and caring one of the group, Kai, has problems of his own: he can become a cold-blooded, killing machine under certain scenarios, which is one of the reasons why i fell in love with him but his cute and gentle side is also good. As the NCD works toward bringing down Ryuugen, answers began to arise,  since they seem to know who Kai is they threaten to reveal the truth behind Kai's alter ego. With his stoic partner Hal Kurabayashi, Kai is assigned to track down and stop the distribution of the drug Dragon Speed, a dangerous new drug, but Ryugen is the syndicate trafficking the drug, and trying to infiltrated is almost impossible, add street violence and a jurisdiction war with the Meguro Police, and poor Kai is in for some very long days at the office. The more they get involved with Ryuugen the more they come to learn about Kai's past and get to know who Kai really is, which at first Hal doesn't want to involve Kai in since he doesn't want him to suffer. After hearing Kai talk a bit about his past and how he lost his memories when he was little Hal tries to solve the mystery behind how the Ryuugen might be involved in that incident, in order to get to the bottom of it he goes as far as getting hurt really badly. I really love Hal's personality even though he seems cold and distant he is really nice, plus he also has a story of his own that involves the Ryuugen. Together Kai and Hal put their life on the line to stop the Ryuugen from spreading the dangerous drug to the streets and the people, at times they don't meat eye to eye and they argue a bit but they always manage to pull through and at times when Kai's alter ego comes out Hal manages to stop him from doing any damage. I really enjoyed this manga, i still haven't gotten the chance to watch the OVA's so I'm not sure how good it may be although I'm sure it will be good I just have to sit down and watch it and I will. ^_^

    3. Skip Beat

    Author: Nakamura Yoshiki
    Status: On-Going (Monthly Updates)
    Genres: Comedy,Drama,Romance,Shoujo,Slice Of Life
Anime: Available 1st season ONLY =(

This manga follows Kyouko Mogami a lively cheerful teenage girl (despite the fact that her mother ran out on her on a very young age)who lived solely for her childhood friend and first love Shoutaro "Shou" Fuwa. One day Shou tells Kyouko that he is moving to Tokyo so that he may realize his dream of becoming a famous singer, and asks Kyouko to go with him. When his dream of becoming a singer is realized, Kyouko overhears Shou tells the truth to his manager about his decision to bringing Kyouko with him: he was using her as a maid and nothing more. Shocked and enraged, Kyouko swears to take revenge by outdoing him in show business. With a new look and a new attitude, she joins LME, the agency where Ren Tsuruga (Shou's rival and the #1 actor of LME) works, in the hopes of achieving her goal of destroying Shou's pride. But things don't go according to plan she goes to the LME auditions and fails on the second trial since she is missing something really important not only as an actor but as a person in general and that is "Love" but can you really blame her? I mean come on her first love and childhood friend just tossed her aside like nothing when he got famous, she has her reason for it. Even though she doesn't pass the auditions she is given a second chance since the owner of LME sees something special in her, he gives her the opportunity to "recover" what she has lost by joining LME's new section the "LOVE ME" section. The "Love Me" section is mainly just an odd job section you do various task that are given to you and if you do a good job the people who requested the job give you points, really easy right. Through the "Love Me"  section Kyouko has to "regain" her "LOVE" not only loving someone but wanting to be love as well, along the way she starts to discovers her true self, makes new friends (and enemies), and finds herself at the heart of some interesting situations that will change her life, and the lives of all others involved, forever. I really love her "dark side" and the little vengeful spirits that appear, honestly it's so funny i always find myself laughing none stop specially when she argues with Ren. Like Kyouko, Ren Tsuruga has a rather tragic story as well and much like Kyouko he also has a "dark side" that only the owner of LME knows of. This manga is really funny but also has its sad moments that made me cry a bit, i really enjoy it specially where its at right now ^_^ but i do wish they would update it faster i don't mind waiting a week but a whole month its to much >.< plus i also wish they made a second season if not more for the anime.

    2. Noblesse

    Author: Son Je-Ho, Lee Gwang-Su
    Status: On-Going (Update Every Monday)
    Genres: Action Adventure,Comedy,Manhwa,School Life,Shounen,Supernatural
    Anime: Not Available (Webtoon)

This manga follows Cadis Etrama Di Raizel (aka Rai) a vampire who for the past 820 years had been sleeping with no knowledge of mankind's advancement and scientific progress. The land which Rai once knew has become an unfamiliar place with new technology, attitudes, and lifestyles. Upon awakening, Rai, seeks to familiarize himself with this era, he locates a loyal servant of his, Frankenstein, who is currently the principal of a South Korean High School. Rai decides that this school is the perfect place to help him learn about the modern world, enrolls, and begins associating with a group of good natured students in order to 'blend in'. With new friends Rai starts his living his life "normally" but this new world is no safer than the old, Rai finds himself embroiled in adventures both ridiculous and dangerous. Even though Rai wishes to live a normal life, his new friends some how always seem to find trouble; be it modified humans, other vampires, and even werewolfs. Along side Rai we have Frankenstein, he is a very loyal servant of his who is willing to give his life away for Rai if needed. Frankenstein is originally a human but through various experiments that he did on himself, he ends up getting unique powers that rival those of vampires, he isn't one to back down when challenged. He treasures his possessions and dislikes disorder, which is something that happens a lot when Rai's friends/his students go over his house and make a mess when hanging out with Rai. He is also one who would attack anyone who dares to hurt his beloved master Rai and even if you are on the floor begging for your life he won't care one bit. I'm really enjoying this manga its funny yet the fights are really good well there are times when they talk more then what i would like but its not as bad, well at times the fights end a little to fast but they are still good. The story is really interesting and I really love all the characters, there isn't one that I don't like; I even like Rai's enemies.

    1. Tokyo Ghoul

    Author: Ishida Sui
Status: Completed (second installment coming soon)
    Genres: Horror,Mystery,Psychological,Supernatural
    Anime: Available

Finally I'm at #1 it took a while but I'm here yay now lets do this (lol).

This manga follows Kaneki Ken a normal college student, who has a crush on Rize Kamishiro. One day Kaneki asked Rize out on a date the last thing he expected was for her to be a ghoul, a horrific creature with a taste for human flesh. While on the date Rize attacks Kaneki, but he survives the attack thanks to a falling platform that injures him gravely but ends up killing Rize; his surgeons then decide to replace his damaged organs with Rize’s, turning him into a half-human/half-ghoul hybrid. Awesome right(lol), now Kaneki has to learn to survive being half-human/half-ghoul,but that won't be easy since ghouls unlike humans can't eat anything other than well humans. Seeing as how everything he tries to eat taste like garbage or some kind of rotting animal, Kaneki has to struggle between feeding on humans or starving to death. In the brink of despair Kaneki meets Touka Kirishima a ghoul just like him and asked her for help, through her he comes to know of a place called "Antique." It's a coffee shop run by ghouls who help other ghouls who can't or refuse to hunt humans, by giving them food; not knowing what to do since becoming a ghoul Kaneki accepts their help and start working there, as well as learning how to "act human" from now on. There Kaneki meets lots of different types of ghouls and begins to see the world they live in, the hardships they have to go through just for being ghouls and so on. This manga really got me I couldn't put it down even for a second, until I fished it all and even then I go back and re-read it even though the ending pissed me off. Luckily the mangaka is working on the second installment Tokyo Ghoul:re there is also a prequel called Tokyo Ghoul:Jack, I haven't started that one yet. The story for this one was really good and I love the characters too, of course I wasn't a big fan of Kaneki at first but he is one of the characters that develops throughout the manga so I started to like him after a few chapters. Now I can't wait for the second installment i wish it would hurry, no lie if you read the manga all the way the ending will make you angry; flip tables and walk out at least thats how i felt >.< but I'm over it since I know it's going to continue.

Well that was my top 10 mangas I hope you guys enjoyed it too and hope you read them they are all really good and different types that are worth your time. Thanks for your time ^_^
